Abstract

Investment is the commitment of resources, which have been saved or put away from current consumption in the hope that some benefits will accrue in future.

This paper investigate different investment modes available to the investors of Mathura city, main bases an investor thinks before investing, the investment mode preferred by the investors of the Mathura and the overall criteria for investments by investors.

The paper explores the various investment avenues and awareness of different investment modes among investors and their perception before investing in any mode.

This research is descriptive one, which includes surveys and fact-finding enquiries of different kinds. Questionnaire was used to collect the appropriate data for the research.

The analysis indicates that mostly investors are highly literate i.e., Post Graduate. Banks, LIC, Real Estate & NSC are the most popular investment modes among the investors of Mathura city and investors invest their money for the return, the investors would like to invest in Real Estate.

Now-a-days, lots of investment modes are coming with new types of schemes. But, the investor should choose the appropriate modes after carefully analyzing his financial objectives & needs and before investing in a scheme, should carefully read the offer document.
