In all academic institutes, there is much insistence on learners developing their communication skills in English. In many technical institutes, besides communicative-based syllabus in English, courses on communication skills are offered to learners and language labs have been established with a view to helping them further their mastery of English through technology. This paper deals with the importance of literature in enhancing the communication skills in English of students of engineering courses.
