There has been a lot of buzz and activity in IR in the last couple of years. Although the number of strikes and lock outs have decreased, but the incidences of violence against HR managers has shown a steep upswing. In this connection, this paper is an attempt to study the growth of the increase of violence against HR and IR personnel and investigate reasons for the same. The paper is aimed to provide plausible solutions for curtailing such situations of unprecedented death and violence.
