Abstract

Emotional Intelligence (EI) is a kind of multiple-level ability that crosses over self-emotions and social composition. Studies demonstrated that emotionally intelligent peoples had higher attention about health, physical appearance and social interactions. It is one of the most widely discussed topics in educational work, and organizational psychology. It is associated with affective outcomes such as greater optimism, less depression and less impulsivity. More emotionally intelligent employees had higher levels of job satisfaction and greater commitment to their organizations. Similarly, studies also demonstrated a significant positive relationship between transformational leadership and EI. Emotionally intelligent customer service personnel were rated as more effective on basis of their performance as compare others (less emotionally intelligent employees). As organizational success is directly related to employee's performance which is significantly correlated with EI, therefore by enhancing employee's EI we can enhance organizational success also.
