This paper begins with the importance of guidance in the academic life of the student community in general and moves with that in language teaching in particular. The role of teachers of English in teaching of language is highlighted in this paper. The paper outlines the difficulties faced by students during the process of language learning and ends with suggestions for improving the language teaching through proper guidance
