A study on self-esteem and mental toughness among failed entrepreneurs

Abstract

Entrepreneurs are often indecisive about their future course of action for some time while encountering adverse situation of failure in their ventures. This study explored the differences among three categories of failed entrepreneurs such as (i) those who had re-ventured, (ii) those who were working as employees and (iii) those who were undecided about their future course of action. Using the standardised questionnaires, the respondents were approached to furnish their responses on Self-Esteem and Mental Toughness. The results of the one way ANOVA revealed significant differences among groups with regard to Self-Esteem. However no significant differences existed between the three groups with regard to their levels of Mental Toughness.
