Use of electronic resources in management journal: a citation analysis

An easy availability of electronic resources have changed the user information seeking behaviour and use pattern. Electronic environment has given a new direction to users. Now library professionals need to understand the impact of electronic revolution. Today researchers prefer to use e – resources for their research purpose so there is a need to analyse the citations in a different perspective. The present paper studies the citations appended in the articles that appeared in Prabandhan: Indian Journal of Management. The study covers 12 issues published between January to December 2012. The citations are analysed to find out user approach towards electronic resources and the type of resources referenced by the authors. A positive use of internet sources is clearly seen in the citations of management journal.
