Lifelong learning attitude of postgraduate students of manipur university, Manipur (India)

The present study attempts to explore the attitude of postgraduate students of Manipur University towards lifelong learning. Difference on the attitude towards lifelong learning according to sex and programme of study has further been studied. Altogether 1245 students (female=688 and male=557) participated in the study with mean age=22.72 (σ=1.050). Lifelong Learning Questionnaire developed by Kirby et al. (2010) had been employed. Findings of the present study suggests that postgraduate students have positive tendency (mean=3.3149, σ=4.03786), with females (mean=3.3939, σ=4.04420) having higher inclination as compared to those of males (mean=3.2172, σ=4.3151) with t-value=0.767 not significant at p≤0.05. No significant difference according to different programmes of study was found (F-ratio=0.312 not significant at p≤0.05). Discussion of the results, limitations of the study and suggestions have been also made.
