Abstract

Indian politics stands at a crossroads today, with regional and national parties having to search for new frame-works of partnership in and outside coalitions Indian politics has entered in a period of unprecedented and multidimensional crisis. The global integration of Indian economy through structural changes has unleashed various forces as a result of which the institutional set up of the State has come under extreme pressure. The expansion of new technologies of global reach has rewritten the rules of democratic social interaction. The powerful rise of media, largely controlled by corporate business interest is both a promise and a threat for people's politics.. The present paper highlights the changing landscapes of Indian politics and discern emerging trends that will most likely shape the future of Indian Politics.
