In recent years, the concept of inclusion or inclusive education has emerged as a more equitable approach to meeting the needs of all learners and it has come to dominate special education practice throughout the world. Inclusion is an important part of equal opportunity in education. Demands for inclusive education have increased and fostered major changes to schooling and education. Students with disabilities are educated alongside their peers within the local community therefore regular schools are required to adapt to accommodate a diverse group of students with a variety of needs. To improve students‘ functioning in such regular schools, students with disability are provided various accommodations. School personnel consider students‘ needs when planning their placement. These considerations include extended time, the presence of an assistant, seating location, and other modification. Technology is one such consideration. The introduction of technologies into the inclusive learning environment is an emerging area, and some researchers have proved that technology is playing an important role in inclusive education, but question arises that what is the role of technology in inclusive education? How it help students with disabilities in their education? What types of technology available for these students etc.? To find out the answer of these questions authors selected this topic. The present paper focused in brief about inclusive education, need of technology for students with disability, various types of technology available for these students and emergent role of technology in inclusive education.
