Mind and consciousness are generally considered non-physical whereas brain isphysical like the rest of our body. Scientists have learnt quite a lot about the brain with the help of latest developments in technology. Professor Vilayanur Ramachandran has written an article Adventures in Behavioral Neurology-Or- What Neurology Can Tell Us about Human Nature. The article proposes that may be, our consciousness can be explained in physiological terms. Consciousness is taken as awareness and also what makes an individual a unified person. However, consciousness is more than just that. We are conscientious and intend to seek truth. Even if our desire to seek the truth about the world around can be explained, mysteries still surround the nature of consciousness.
