The word yoga means ‘unity’ or ‘oneness’ and is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘yuj’ which means ‘to join’. There is a general consensus that adults doing yoga are more fit than adults not doing yoga. The study was designed to find out the psychological well being in adults engaged in yoga. Altogether 60 adults in the age group of 30–40 years were purposively selected. Out of which 30 were male and 30 were female in each category. The research tool of psychological well-being scale developed by Mohsina Khatun, Nasreen Wadud, Abbas Bhuiya, &Mushtaque Chowdhury(1998) was used for the present study. The data was analyzed by using Mean, SD and t test. The result clearly indicated that adults doing yoga have better psychological well being in comparison to adults not engaged in yoga.
