Rural tourism is a type of tourism that is based on scientific principles and issues and the concept is beyond thought and expression and much of the major recreational activities and tasks are included which may be compared to some other, more traditional mode may be performed in various environments. It is its economically and socially positive impact which allows farmers to gain additional financial sources and create new job positions for other local people. In fact, it is a very positive and ecological form of tourism. The paper describes the role of rural tourism for the sustainable development of rural areas and stresses out the importance of rural tourism for the development of rural areas.
