̀In the present scenario exports acts as the blood of global economy'. Indian gems and jewellery industry is traditionally modern and glamorous as ornaments have been the part of civilizations of Indian culture since ages. This paper analyzes the performance of India's export and economic factor which have contributed in the gems and jewellery industry over a period of 21 year from 1994 to 2014. The interpretation is done on the bases of volume as well as destination. In spite of a lot of fluctuation in this area the industry amounts to be the second highest for an exchange earner among the total exports. On the other hand competition from the countries like china this sector achieves the global popularity because of efficient craftsmanship and beautiful designing. The researcher has analyzed all possible ways of fluctuation in this industry. The measure which can increase the export and forecast the market in the coming years has also been suggested.
