Education is An Important Media to Remove Poverty From India

Sustainable development of any country depends on the overall development of its citizen i.e. well education, good health facilities, empowerment of people, functional literacy, high per capita income and absence of poverty etc. But in regards to our country i.e. India unable to provide those above facilities to its citizen; for this reason India treated as developing country. So this present study has aim to investigate and analyze the real causes and effects of poverty in India and also analyze the role of Education as an important media to remove Poverty from India. The analytical research method is used in this study. There are several causes for poverty in India i.e. poor agriculture, political instability, continuous growing population, corruption, black-money, war, natural calamities, social inequality, high gap between the rich and the poor etc. and these effects the human being for their all round development i.e. illiteracy, child labour, malnutrition, poor living condition and housing problems, unemployment, hygiene and sanitation problems, feminization of poverty, social tension etc. This present study will provide the roles of education as an important media to remove poverty i.e. education for skills development, empowering people, growing knowledge, economic development, increase functional literacy and simultaneously reduce illiteracy, education for proper family planning, erosion of customs, superstations and social evils, education for productivity, increase use of technology, developed self employment, proper use of human resource and developing creativity, motivation and life skills etc. This present study has implication for Central and State Governments of India, Policy makers, Administrators, Students & Teachers etc. This study may be helpful to remove poverty from India.
