Teacher's Attitude Towards Inclusive Education: A Micro Research

Inclusive education is a process of enabling all children to learn and participate effectively within main stream school systems. The empirical evidences in the area of inclusive education clearly indicate the teacher's and parental attitude are the key factor for making inclusive education, real success This study examines the attitude of teachers towards the inclusion of children with special needs in the general education. Sample of the study consists of 100 Teacher, 50 Govt. Teacher and 50 Private Teacher from different school of Sonipat district of Haryana, India. The results of various analyses on the study have revealed that female teachers have more positive attitude the inclusion of special need children than their male counterparts. This research suggests that Govt. and Non Govt. teacher feel induced when children with special needs are included in a regular classroom. The positive attitude of female teacher toward the inclusion of special need children demonstrated in this study may be the due to fact that female naturally have good tolerance compared to male. They are more calm and respective than males.
