Happiness and Achievement Motivation Amongst Late Adolescents

The present study titled “Happiness and achievement motivation amongst late adolescents” was undertaken to assess the relationship between happiness and achievement motivation amongst late adolescents and to identify the gender difference in happiness and achievement motivation amongst late adolescents. Purposive sampling technique has been adopted to collect data from 50 boys and 50 girls across the age range of 16 to 18 years. The study is exploratory in nature and adopts sample survey design. The tools used were oxford happiness scale and achievement motivation scale. The obtained data has been analyzed using Pearson product moment correlation and independent sample t-test. The findings of the study show that there is a significant relationship between happiness and achievement motivation and there is no significant difference between boys and girls in happiness and achievement motivation.
