A study on socio-economic background, academic role structure and modernization among primary teachers (a case study of primary teachers in Bishnupur district of Manipur)

Education is the cause as well as the result of development in the society. Education plays a very important role in the life of an individual; it socializes the individuals and prepares him for the future roles in the society. Moreover, primary education is also the most important part of an individual life. It enlightens the individuals as well as widens their horizon of thinking and understanding about the Society. The teachers who frame the society are from all classes and castes. And we see that more number of women is coming up in teaching profession, this will improve their social status and remove social problems. The actual aim of education will fulfill and social development of a country will be possible. The present study will highlight the importance of primary education in once life as well. The study employed both secondary and primary sources of data for rational and scientific finding the study apply stratified random sampling method from respondent primary teachers of Bishnupur district of Manipur.
