Abstract

Work-related stress is a major concern in this century. Never before people had been found “burning out” at work and business as it is seen today in every aspect of life. As our natural reaction to highly charged atmosphere full of rivalries and threatening situations, stress is our key to survival. Therefore, it is necessary that we handle all new situations and challenges with care. Monitoring our stress symptoms can help us know how well we are faring and how effective is our strategy in meeting the challenges we come across.

The roots of stress lies much deeper than just what is seen from above such as work overload and time pressures. The aim of this study is to examine the stress coping strategies and also the relationship between various sources of occupational stress and work performance. Finally, the study explores the implications of stress on employees’ performance.
