Entrepreneurial intention of students’ in higher educational institutions

Abstract

Increasing unemployment has become the problem of the most of countries in the World. The government and policy making agencies are doing brainstorming to find out the solution to curb the unemployment level. Entrepreneurship could be an option for this question. The entrepreneurial activities are capable of creating new jobs and reducing unemployment. Entrepreneurship is a way of thinking that stresses opportunities over threats and a process that is helpful in finding opportunities over time. Entrepreneurship is driving force for sources of innovative ideas and job opportunities and making the economy on growth path because entrepreneurs convert the innovative actions and ideas into economic activity. Therefore, the entrepreneurial intention is considered as the vital part of the new firm creation process. The objective of the present paper is to find out the relationship between student's behavior and entrepreneurial intention. This study shows that the attitude, entrepreneurship education and perceived control behaviour is closely related to entrepreneurship intention while subjective norms is negatively related to entrepreneurship intention.
