Mobile devices have eventually become a part of university students. Smart phones and tablets are not only used for social networking, informal reading and other entertainments. These gadgets have become the device of educators and researchers who have found the potential in using these technologies, merging into the mainstream of education. Applied to second language learning metacognitive knowledge refers to the general assumptions that learners hold about themselves on factors influencing language learning, about the nature of language learning and teaching. By analyzing the role metacognitive in M-Learning the real need and the cognitive influence of the learners can be studied. This study will help in the enhancement of mobile app to a level where the learner learn to exercise their autonomy in language learning through self-recognition of in build abilities.
