A study on consumption pattern of coffee drinkers in Pollachi taluk

Coffee plays an essential part of everyday life in people of South Indians especially Tamil Nadu. It is considered to be one of the popular drinks. Everyone likes to have a cup of coffee now and then. So an attempt is made to study the consuming pattern of coffee drinkers in Pollachi taluk of Tamil Nadu. Convenience sampling method has been employed. The tools used for this study are simple percentage, ANOVA, and ranking. Data was collected from 120 coffee drinkers to analyse the demographic profile of coffee drinkers and the pattern of consumption. It was found that people between 21 to 40 years of age drank coffee in morning that too male drank instant coffee more than five cups a day with milk in winter season. Energy boost and alertness were the factors influencing to drink coffee.
