The paper presents the annual cycles of surface ozone (O3), methane (CH4), non-methane hydrocarbon (NMHC), sulphur dioxide (SO2), carbon monoxide (CO), nitric oxide (NO), odd oxides of nitrogen (NOx), respiratory particulate matter (RSPM), temperature, Relative humidity (RH), Rainfall and solar radiation (SR) for the period from November 2013 to October 2014 over Lucknow (26.5°N, 80.5°E), Uttar Pradesh, India. Scattered variations of the surface ozone (O3) with methane (CH4), non-methane hydrocarbon (NMHC), sulphur dioxide (SO2), carbon monoxide (CO), nitric oxide (NO), odd oxides of nitrogen (NOx), respiratory particulate matter (RSPM), temperature, Relative humidity (RH), Rainfall and solar radiation (SR) reveal the growth of the surface ozone with increase in methane (CH4), non-methane hydrocarbon (NMHC), sulphur dioxide (SO2), nitric oxide (NO), respiratory particulate matter (RSPM), temperature, Relative humidity (RH),Rainfall and solar radiation(SR), but decline with carbon monoxide (CO), odd oxides of nitrogen (NOx) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2). The related chemical and physical explanations have been offered.
