The present research article tries to do a comparative analysis of the elementary education systems of India and Finland. It aims to compare the objectives of education systems of India and Finland and also tries to find out the similarities and differences between the education systems of the two countries. The study is limited to the elementary level. Researcher found that the principles of both the education systems are quite similar. The major differences found were in the quality of education given to students, the competence level of teachers, sense of professionalism in teachers and the research based curriculum of the teacher education.
