Abstract

Kanha National Park is one of the pioneer national parks in tourist map of India. This national park not only receives the Indian tourists but also allures huge number of international tourists every year. Tourist satisfaction is getting momentum nowadays similar to customer satisfaction in order to remain competitive in such a fast growing world and to take benefits from tourism. The study focused on the demographic characteristics of tourist and their association with tourist satisfaction. Chi Square test had been applied on data received from semi structured questionnaire to evaluate the association. The study revealed that gender, age, marital status, occupation, level of education, monthly income and family type are not associated with tourist satisfaction on the other hand geographical characteristics like nationality, state and mother tongue are the associated variables with tourist satisfaction.
