Abstract

Marital satisfaction is an overall evaluation of feelings and the attitude of an individual towards his or her marital relationships. The study aims to investigate the influence of various factors like communication, sex, educational background, number of children and duration of marriage on couple's satisfaction. The study consists of 60 couples with an age range of 25–65 from various districts in Kerala. The instruments used were the Inter Personal Communication Inventory and The Satisfaction with Married Life Scale. The results revealed that there was a positive association between communication and marital satisfaction.
