Influence of Traditionalgender Role Attitude on Marital Well Being Among Couples

The study explored the influence of traditional gender role attitude on marital well being among couples. It was hypothesized that there is a significant sex difference in marital wellbeing and traditional gender role attitude among couples The sample of current study included 100 young couples from Kozhikode and Malappuram districts with an age range between 18–35 years. There were 100 males and 100 females who served as participants The measures were collected by using Gender Role Attitude Scale and Marital Wellbeing Inventory. TWO WAY ANOVA was conducted for hypothesis testing. Results of this study revealed that there is significant sex difference in marital wellbeing among couples that is females reported more marital wellbeing than males, while traditional gender role attitudes where similar among couples except intimacy couples with moderate traditional gender role attitude scored high on intimacy.
