Abstract

Human resource is the most vital resource for any organization. Employees should be managed properly and motivated by providing best remuneration or compensation as per the industry standards. Services rendered by individuals to organizations have to be equally paid for. The purpose of this research was to explore the perception of employees working in the software industry compensation management practices in India. This research adopted a quantitative methodology and administered a survey to understand how the employees perceive the different compensation management practices and their importance in the organization. The participants in this study belonged to the software industry and have been working in their current technical job roles for at least a year. Descriptive statistics like percentage is used for comparative study of compensation management practices of sample companies.
