This bibliometric study examines the research contribution of authors from Haryana in the subject of zoology during 2006–2015 based on Indian Citation Index. The study analyses the year-wise distribution of papers, types of documents, journals preferred for publication, most prolific authors from Haryana, major institutions of Haryana that have contributed in zoology research, top collaborating Indian states, top collaborating countries, number of citations received and top cited papers during the period under study. The study found that during 2006–15 a total number of 1142 papers were published in zoology in 23 different Indian journals by authors from Haryana. The Indian Journal of Animal Sciences was found to be the most preferred journal for publishing zoology research in Haryana and S.S. Kundu has been assessed as most prolific author. National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal is the most productive institution of Haryana in zoology research.
