This paper analyses Gender inequality in Haryana using Gender Parity Index for Literacy Rates, Relative Gap in Literacy Rate and Employment Rate, Labour Force Participation Rate, Female Share in Non-Agriculture Employment and coefficient of Equality for the period at 1991 to 2011 for aggregate and disaggregate level. Our results show that Ambala, Yamunanagar and Panchakula districts have higher female literacy rates for females and the districts of Mahendergarh, Bhiwani and Rewari of southern Haryana which are at lower level in female literacy have high share of female in non-agricultural employment as well as high coefficient of equality in rural sector. A comparison of all the three censuses shows that there was considerable improvement in 2001 in female employment and LFPR in Haryana.
