The purpose of this paper is to understand the importance of WLB and how it is responsible for the sustainability of workforce for a longer period of time. It also focuses on the equity and justice of the employee in the organization. A qualitative study was designed. A semi-structured interview was conducted among heads of the departments and HR managers. The data were analyzed through Narrative Research. Primary data were collected form heads of the department and HR managers and also from the experienced employees from manufacturing and service sectors. Data were collected through interview. The expert opinions were analyzed in detail through content analysis. The outcome of the study mainly highlighted giving importance to the contextual factors which are affecting employee retention; sustainability of manpower and WLB. Equity and justice is the base of successful employee retention, talent management and control of employees' attrition. It is all about creating a healthy WLB practices where employees can enjoy their work and develop their capabilities and will be able to secure a better career for their future. It also ascertains the effectiveness of WLB policies and the extent of the dynamism of working style. The result of the study focuses the positive concern and employee retention and sustainability in the organization. This also highlights the need to focus on employees' work-life balance as a means to create sustainable and productive workplaces. The workforce sustainability demonstrates the equity in the work place and minimizes the emotional gap between the employee and employer. Future Research is possible by taking exogenous variables for enhancing the sustainability of employees.
