The present study aims at analyzing the availability of infrastructure of information technology in the DAV college libraries of Haryana state. Rapid developments in IT have changed the conventional theory of libraries. In this informative age, Information Technology is being used so that accurate data can be made available to the right user at precise time. Libraries are gradually moving towards the digital mode which can be accessed across the world. Modern academic libraries are more commanding, vibrant and can contact their users, irrespective of the borders of geographical boundaries. The use of IT tools has opened new horizons to amplify the effectiveness of services that the libraries offer in day to day life. The college libraries are no exception and are not far behind in developing IT infrastructure and its application for its operations and services offering enhanced facilities to their user community. The study depicts that most of these libraries have developed good IT infrastructure, but the IT application could not expand ahead of the local networking within the library. These libraries have automated its housekeeping operations to provide IT based services to the users, though there are limitations and problems are still faced by the librarians.
