Usage of internet for household purposes

Internet is considered as one of the wonderful gift to the mankind. It not only save the time but also assist humans in performing their tasks at home and workplace. It is being used for many purposes like communication, e-commerce, creating awareness, gaining and updating knowledge entertainment, socializing and even for e-governance. There have been research evidences that prove its effective usage by youth, students, working population etc. There are researches that showcases it usage for shopping, health purposes, social networking, school education, higher education and so on. However, the present paper throws light upon the use of internet for household purposes. There are some basic household responsibilities like cooking, childcare, cleaning, washing of clothes and utensils, grocery shopping, family budgeting that every family needs to perform. This review paper is an attempt to find out the research trend for usage of internet for household purposes.
