Abstract

India is on the cutting edge of economic, technological and developmental transformation of significant dimensions in the global politics era. India's foreign policy is a forward-looking engagement with the rest of the world, based on a rigorous, realistic and contemporary assessment of the bilateral, regional and global geo-political and economic milieu. India‘s rapid economic growth has in turn made it attractive partner for all the other major powers. The twin forces of globalization and liberalization in India had also opened up new avenues for both jobs and educational pursuits from India to the United States. India as a stepping stone to SAARC and ASEAN regions and invited India to use Canada as a base for entering North American Free Trade Area (NAFTA).
