Abstract

Human capital management (HCM) is most important concept of employee staffing that perceives people as assets (human capital) where the current value can be calculated and future value can be enhanced through investment in human resource. In the present day competitive environment Organizations are primarily supporting the concept of Human Capital Management and provides the workforce with clearly defined and consistently communicated potential performance. The primary responsibility of managers would be for rating, rewarding, and holding employees accountable and responsible for achieving specific goals innovativeness and continuous improvement towards products or services. Ability is defined as hidden or untapped quality to be accessed in the future, either in an individual employee or the collective body of the employees. It is the capacity to learn, as well as the process with which a person or organization can adapt the new challenges to changing and competitive environment. Human Capital Management is otherwise referred to as Talent Management which plays significant role in today's technological scenario. The skills which are acquired step by step by experience and situations that cause our life to move forward by the skill we acquire (Plato).

Hence the present paper proposes the significance of Human Capital Management in the Technological area with the overall objective of retaining and procuring a high performing workforce with a view to achieve the desired organizational goals.
