The Indian renewable energy sector has seen significant growth over the last two decades with promotional policies to drive the growth from the Government of India. Renewable energy is nothing but the energy generated from natural resources like sunlight, wind, rain, tides, and geothermal heat which are renewable and can be naturally replenished. This has become the need of the hour considering the climate change effects, pollution, to stop mining and continuous depletion of natural resources and ever increasing demand for power consumption across the globe and the enormous challenges faced by the mankind. India with abundant natural resources and is also geographically well positioned to tap all the natural resources and hence it becomes imperative for the government to frame suitable policies and for the consumers to be aware of the benefits of renewable sources of power that can be tapped easily.
