Banking sector plays a pivotal role in influencing the economic position of the nation. For running a progressive nation, banks have to be effective and efficient, not only through their working but also through adoption of new techniques and technologies. With the augmenting environmental problems taking place because of human activities, certain actions are required in every sector of the nation to define the evolution of internet banking and majorly, to analyze the various steps and targeting banking sector as well. State Bank of India, being the largest and the most dependable public bank of India, has become the first Indian bank to focus on green motives and has taken certain initiatives for introducing green banking to the system. The present paper undertakes improvements adopted by State Bank of India through exercise of internet banking. The paper is based on qualitative data including various articles, research papers, reports and more.
