Abstract

For successful practice in law, there is essential need for knowledge. To gain knowledge changing from time to time in law, it has become essential for every advocate to increase their reading habit and use of the different types of reading materials that are available in libraries. For the law librarians, it is also essential to assess the reading habits of advocates, so as to build up library collection and provide services based on interests of advocates. Hence, the present study is made to assess the reading habits of advocates practicing in Ramanagar city of Karnataka state. Totally 125 advocates are surveyed using questionnaires to collect the primary data. The paper described the details on the reading habits of advocates in Ramanagar city.
