Abstract

With the proliferation in E-Commerce, preference to the Internet banking is self-explanatory. It is inevitable to mention that Internet banking has not only lure the attention of banks and insurance companies but has captivated the brokerage houses and security traded firms. The current paper makes an attempt to discover the challenges that are faced by Indian Banking industry from the foreign players and the untapped opportunities, which could be materialized for the growth prospects. The paper stuffs the serious gaps in the reluctant behavior of the customers towards the Internet Banking, history of Internet Banking, weaknesses in traditional banking system, expose its present growth and delivers the future recommendations towards a healthier future scenario.
