Journal's Objectives I. To ensure that a Psychologist working in any corner of the country significantly contributing to the discipline gets an opportunity to contribute his or her work for which he or she deserves merit in terms of significant contribution for the benefit of the masses which includes: Ÿ Development of replicable service models. Ÿ Significant contribution to the area of training and manpower development related to any desired area of psychology, development of assessment tools with its wider or nationwide utility. Ÿ Development of therapeutic or early intervention models beneficial for the masses. Ÿ Work conducted addressing social issues i.e. Drug Abuse and Alcoholism, Suicide, Child Abuse Crimes, Sexuality, Crime Against Women, Road Rage and Accidents, Honor Killing, Media and Psychology, Terrorism, Riots, National Disasters, Disaster Management and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and all other such issues (If by any omission, they are not included here, these will be addressed in this journal). II. To facilitate availability of the journal to the researchers or authors who are devoted or involved in a specific work area or topic of psychology and looking for an opportunity to disseminate their work in a Journal for an early and timely publication of their work.

Article Submission Guidelines
The journal 'Psychology in India' invites psychologists or social scientists to contribute original articles, review articles, brief research reports, in accordance to APA guidelines as per the specific details below:
a) Research article (2000-5000 words)
b) Reviews(3500-6000 words)
c) Brief research reports (1000-1500 words).
Manuscript Submission
The manuscripts should be typed clearly in Microsoft word format, in Times New Roman, Font size 12.
All the text should be written with 1.5 spacing between the lines.
Margins should be 1 cm each from all the sides.
In case of experimental work, the author(s) must specify the purpose of the study.
The experimental and observational matter to be divided in the following sections:
Title Page (with correspondence address , email-id and contact number)
Abstract (aim, sample, method, results and conclusions ? not exceeding 250 words)
Keywords
Introduction
Methods
Results
Discussion
References
Tables: The tables should be clearly labeled and all explanatory matter in relation to the table should be written below it.
References: References to be written according to the guidelines of publication manual of the APA (4th Ed.). Only those references should be included which are cited in the paper or article.
Book Review
These are critical reviews of recently published books related to developmental disabilities, guiding readers about its characteristics, framework and the issues, that the book has focused upon or which need further reflections. The word limit should range from 500 to 700 words.
Movie Review
The review would focus upon the characteristics; framework and reflections on the relevant issues. It should also range from 500 to 700 words only.
The soft copy of the manuscripts or other reviews or voices should be mailed to info@iip.ac.in, pii@iip.ac.in, along with the details of the author(s) with email-id and the corresponding address.
A sum of Rupees Fifteen hundred (1500/-) will be charged for the submission of the Article.
