Abstract

The study was carried out on the effect of various weather parameters like minimum and maximum temperature, relative humidity and rainfall on incidence Phytomyza spp. and Helicoverpa armigera on six genotype of linseed viz. Neelum, Garima, Janki, Padmini, NDL2003-4 and NDL-2002. Incidence of Phytomyza spp. was positively correlated with minimum and maximum temperatures in all genotypes under protected and unprotected treatments during both years. All genotypes under protected and unprotected treatments were found positively correlated with relative humidity and rainfall during both years. All genotypes under protected and unprotected treatment showed negative correlation with minimum and maximum temperatures with regard to incidence of H. armigera. All genotypes were positively correlated with rainfall. Incidence of H. armigera of genotype ‘Garima’, showed strong positive correlation with relative humidity followed by NDL-2002.
