Background: Bioinformatics and forensic DNA are interdisciplinary and building upon their methods statistics and the informatics that put them to bear on Biology and Law issues. Today, forensics are applying the techniques of bioinformatics for further analysis. Aim: Snipper App Suite [http://mathgene. usc. es/snipper/index.php] was used to identify samples that belong to a particular genetic population and age population. Methods: 34-plex [previous] was selected as the marker set and 3 populations are selected. Using Naive Bayes [Hardy-Weinberg principle applies], the 34 SNP profile data was input into the query. In age prediction with DNA methylation tool, the prediction examples were downloaded. The values for sample ID 1A was input into the values according to the internal code name and was calculated. Results: Snipper App Suite had calculated the -log[LIKELIHOOD] and PERCENTILE values of the sample and predicted the sample to be of the European population. The age-predicted tool predicted the sample ID where it has an age interval of [37.07, 49.44] [0.1 and 0.9 quantiles,respectively] as 43.12 years. Discussion: In mass disasters and missing persons where DNA may be significantly fragmented, Snipper App Suite can predict the population these people belong in. This assists in the identification of individuals. Conclusion: Snipper App Suite can bring a huge impact by predicting the genetic and age population of samples in forensics studies.
