Abstract

The telecommunication industry in emerging markets offers abundance of opportunity for growth and expansion. Specifically in the Indian markets, one of the primary targets is to have ubiquitous connectivity. Rural India which has been comparatively un touched by this growth offers or lot of opportunity for communication expansion and infrastructure development characterized by low income group, spatial location and geographical constrains they offer a unique challenge to provide ubiquitous connectivity at low cost. WiMAX due to its ubiquitous nature is being looked as a possible low cost broad band access solution. Availability of voice connectivity plays an important role in the social and economic development of any region. VoIP Based applications, characterized by low cost, compatibility with available infrastructure and mobility at no extra cost, emerge as a possible solution for providing voice connectivity to rural India. The telecommunication industry takes the major role to expand its service. The data used in this study are Secondary data and the analysis is Mean, Standard Deviation, Coefficient of Variance and Correlation. The financial health plays significant role in the success of a company.
