Satisfaction plays a major role in retaining the customers not only in business but also in tourism. Only a satisfied tourist can be retained and only satisfaction can create prospective tourists for the place. Thus the researcher decided to conduct a study on tourist satisfaction with special reference to Udhagamandalam. The study aimed at reviewing the pattern of the tourism inflow of Udhagamandalam in Nilgiris and to assess the extent of infrastructure facilities available to tourists so as to measure the satisfaction derived by tourists. A questionnaire was prepared to collect the opinions. Convenient sampling method was adopted to select a sample size of 150. Percentage, Average score Chi-square analysis were used. It was interesting to note that the respondents were satisfied with the general conditions and accommodation and other amenities. However, the respondents who are senior citizens were dissatisfied about banking facility, facilities in the hospital and service offered by the staff in the lodging.
