‘Food’ is one which helps animal kingdom to subsist on this planet. It is a known fact that without food grain no being can continuing its breath to alive on this universe. If we go throughout the history of world there are many instances of severe famines of food crises which have taken thousands and millions of lives. Even, we are in 21st century which is driven by most sophisticated science and technology, huge mass of the world population is suffering from wicked drought driven poverty. It shows the malfunction of the government to provide minimum food security to its own population. One side, massive production of food grains is achieved by pouring innumerable fertilizers and pesticides across the globe, and another side nearly two third of the world population has no minimum food security. Particularly, late1990’s, due the liberalized policies of governments, the availability of food grains to the ill-fated poor gradually slashed down. By adding fuel to fire, of late, our policy makers from corner to corner of the world, diverting food grains for biofuel to overcome the shortage of convention oil deposits. Moreover, ruthless meltdown of world economy owing to global financial crisis results mammoth unemployment and swelling inflation. These two immediate outcomes of global negative economic cues are caused to occurrence of hunger deaths in many developing and least developed countries. Until governments across the globe come with enough food security to the poor and deprived mass, there is no use of fruits of so called modern advanced science and technology.
