Abstract

The power scenario of India in general and Haryana State in particular is characterized by persistent shortage and rising cost of generation despite vast technological developments. The increase in the cost of power supply not only restricts the programmes of power development on account of reduced availability of resources, but also pushes up the cost price structure of the economy, since the electric power is an essential input for industry as well as agriculture. The present paper is an analysis of Cost of power generation In Haryana.
