Organizations managers and other stakeholders will have differing concerns about how an organization is performing. To satisfy these concerns and make decisions based up on them, these stakeholders require information. Accountants have a vital role to play in this process. This paper highlights whether printing companies in Ethiopia have sufficient and competent accounting personnel who are able to conduct proper cost analysis and generate analytical reports for decision making. Survey for the study has been conducted in the medium and large-sized printing companies in Ethiopia. The results for the study indicate that the accountants are involved more in the routine and clerical accounting duties. There have no time to conduct proper cost analysis and generate analytical reports for decision making.
