Abstract

In the recent years and with expansion of Entrepreneur researches, recognition of opportunities has become noticed as the focus point of Entrepreneur by researchers. As a result, we can see its indispensible relationship with Entrepreneur in the definitions presented for identifying opportunity. Emphasizing on opportunity and its recognition expands so that the recognition of opportunity has been called the Heart of Entrepreneur (Moghimi, 2004, p. 89). But the important issue is to identify factors help people recognize more opportunities. Present research tries to find the role of knowledge in discovering opportunities and surveys it by proposing a final model. The statistical population of present research includes Entrepreneurs of IT technology all over the Tehran city. The data were analyzed utilizing SPSS, LISREL, and SMARTPLS software. The results have proved the role of knowledge on recognizing opportunity in IT industry. This model can be used as a guideline for governmental policy makers, business employers and researchers for directing Entrepreneur activities based on knowledge.
