Plastic Money is the new jargon frequently used in banking circles. The present paper provides a platform to understand the performance and evaluation of Banking Services, awareness level, perception, usage of new innovative services especially with regards to Plastic Money and its beneficial impact to the financial system. The study focuses on the usage of Debit and Credit Cards holder's perceptions, their awareness level, and their benefits in Shivamogga District. With the help of a structured questionnaire and personal interviews with the customers, the analysis is made. The analysis and interpretation is made by using suitable statistical tools and techniques in order to arrive at an authenticate information about the Plastic Money and its efficiency in using the new banking technology services and innovations in the present scenario. It concentrates on card holders benefits. The sample size for the study is fifty. The study is undertaken only in Bank of India, Shivamoga District. Both primary and secondary data is used for the study. The primary data collected for the study are analyzed with the help of the SPSS package by using ANOVA. The finding helps to know the awareness and usage of Plastic Money among the customers of Bank of India. Finally, it makes an attempt to offer few suggestions to enhance its usage and to provide maximum benefits to cope up with the existing challenges in the wake of severe competition and ultimately providing better service to its customers.
