Correlation between demographical background and self efficacy on ICT embedded the health care resources: A study among the medical students at trichy

Abstract

There have been several studies related to ICT in health care. Very few of them have been conducted among the medical college students. The present paper provides empirical evidence to ascertain the correlation between the demographical characteristics and self efficacy towards the ICT related health care among the medical college students in Trichy, Tamilnadu state. Data was obtained from 80 students. Results indicate that demographical characteristic does progressively increased or decreased with self efficacy on ICT related health care resources as might be expected. Out of the three aspect and 15 questions, all the three aspects are significantly correlated with the demographical characteristic of the respondents and their self efficacy the variable are teaching and research, ICT skills and ICT facilities and training.In general, results indicate the degree of relationship between the demographical characters like age, gender and level of study with their self efficacy towards the ICT related health care is exist.
